The resort's page for the market carries a Cree name above the English one: Maskêkosihk Pipon Atâwêwikamik. It lists live music and entertainment, local First Nations, Métis and Inuit vendors, Indigenous cuisine, daily gift-basket giveaways and free photos with Santa from 3 to 7 pm on each of the three days. The market runs from 1 to 9 pm, Thursday 19 to Saturday 21 November 2026.
Admission
Entry is by donation to the Kanaweymik Initiative. The resort asks for personal hygiene and toiletry items and non-perishable food. Its slogan for the event: "Support local · Support Indigenous".
The makers
The vendor list on the resort's page runs to more than fifty names — beadwork, moccasins, ribbon and pow wow wear, candles, herbal teas and traditional medicines, fine art, baking and clothing. We have not reprinted the list, which may change; it is on the resort's page.
Who can come
The market is a community event in The Venue, the kind of event the resort opened to minors with an adult in July 2024. The entertainment line-up was marked "coming soon" when we read the page.
Staying for it
Thursday to Saturday makes an easy two-night stay: the market in the afternoon, dinner at Hell's Kitchen, and the gift shop at the main casino entrance — which sells Indigenous artwork and crafts all year — before you leave. Mention the market in your coupon note and we will ask for those nights.
