A pool, a whirlpool, a gym — and the spa that isn't there

The Stay page lists an on-site pool and whirlpool and an on-site fitness centre. The hotel overview, last changed in July 2025, is more specific: an indoor pool and whirlpool, and a 24-hour "state-of-the-art" fitness centre next to a main-floor business centre. The Venue's FAQ refers to "a large pool and fitness facility". No opening hours for the pool are published.

What guests say

Among the reviews visible on Trip.com, one guest wrote that the pool was a little underwhelming and showed its age. That is a single opinion, not a measurement. The hotel opened in 2006, and a new pool is part of the expansion now being built.

No spa

We read every official page in the resort's sitemap on 29 October 2026 and found no spa, no treatment menu and no sauna or steam room. Travel guides that mention a spa at River Cree are not supported by the resort's own site. If massage or a spa day is the point of your trip, River Cree is the wrong base.

Children and the pool

Minors may use the resort's non-gaming areas with an adult since July 2024. The pool is part of the hotel, not the casino, so families can use it; the resort does not publish pool rules for children, so ask about supervision and swim times.

The new pool

STAY Magazine reported in September 2024 that the expansion would include a new pool with two waterslides and a large hot tub. GlobalData's project profile calls it a family-friendly pool with two waterslides. Opening dates in the reports range from July 2027 to the end of 2027. Until it opens, the pool on this page is the one you get.

The fitness centre and the business centre

The hotel overview places the 24-hour fitness centre and the business centre on the main floor and lists ergonomic workspaces and free Wi-Fi in the rooms. For anything bigger than a laptop and a printer, the meeting rooms on our meetings page start with the 16-seat Chief's Boardroom.
