All drive times on this page are our own calculations with the public OSRM router from the resort's map pin, without traffic. Real journeys take longer at rush hour and in snow.
West Edmonton Mall
The mall is the resort's closest big neighbour: 7.3 km by our calculation, "only 5 minutes" by the resort's, and on the route of its free shuttle every 30 minutes. The mall describes itself as 5.3 million square feet with more than 800 stores and services and more than 100 places to eat. Its attractions include World Waterpark, Galaxyland, the Ice Palace, Sea Life Caverns and Sea Lions' Rock, Professor WEM's Adventure Golf and Ed's Bowling. The address is 8882 170 St NW.
Fort Edmonton Park
A nonprofit history park on 158 acres of wooded land in the river valley, which began as a Canada Centennial reconstruction project in 1967. Its site describes an Indigenous Peoples Experience covering the histories of First Nations and Métis peoples. In October 2026 it was running its DARK Halloween event. 12.4 km, about 19 minutes.
The river valley
The North Saskatchewan River valley runs through the middle of Edmonton. The city's Victoria Golf Course sits in it, with views of the Alberta Legislature and the University of Alberta; see our golf page. The Edmonton Valley Zoo is also in the valley, 12.3 km from the resort.
Downtown and Old Strathcona
Rogers Place, home of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, anchors ICE District downtown at 104 Avenue and 104 Street — 17.2 km and about 24 minutes from the resort. The Alberta Legislature, a sandstone building above the river, offers free guided tours and a visitor centre; 18.5 km. Whyte Avenue is the main street of Old Strathcona, the arts and entertainment district near the University of Alberta; 16.5 km.
West and south of the resort
The University of Alberta Botanic Garden lies in Parkland County, 16.8 km away by our calculation. The Ranch Golf & Country Club in Acheson is the nearest golf course we could confirm, 5.8 km away.
On the resort's own land
Do not overlook what is on site: the Twin Rinks for public skating, the Venue's calendar, and seasonal community events such as the November Holiday Market with First Nations, Métis and Inuit vendors.
Without a car
The mall shuttle makes West Edmonton Mall easy. For anything else, plan on a taxi from the casino entrance or a rideshare. Our getting-here page has the transit picture, which is thin.
